I mostly play with Poppy, Katarina or Sivir

I have been recently playing Pantheon and am starting to like him to the point where he would be my main.


I am free to play tonight, and i have Ventrilo.

a little tip...try out Hon (heroes of newerth) graphics are much better and u dont have unlock your heroes, also the maps arent confusing...i played LoL for about 5 mins after playing Hon and wasnt impressed

1.) This is the LoL branch of Strategic Insomniacs so don't go advertising for a DotA clone in here.
2.) The map is not confusing whatsoever. It is more or less the same as DotA with the exception of brush
3.) Game play > Graphics
4.) I have personally played HoN for a few weeks and was bored out of my mind. It isn't near as friendly as LoL and the community was not great. It IS a DotA clone and at least LoL has its own style.
5.) This is a new recruit so don't go shoving new games down his throat before we even have tryouts just because he is playing a game you did not approve of.

Just my opinion.

1.) SI is always looking for expansion and if someone may be interested in a game then they should be told about it.
2.) He wasn't "shoving new games down his throat". He even said it was "just his opinion" and that he didn't have to listen. Calm down for a minute, and realize that we do accept everyone's opinions here and [E]nd's post was no where NEAR being inappropriate or out of line in any way. He never attacked LoL in any way, simply stating that he was not personally impressed. Let the kid have his say without being attacked.

i realize we're always looking for expansion but hes posting in the LoL section inside a possible recruit's application to try a different game instead of the one he is applying for. If he wasn't impressed well that is his opinion but don't go trying to get people away from LoL and towards HoN because you liked it more. He was not "attacking" LoL but he was blatantly criticizing it "a little tip... try out HoN..." and advertising a different game to play instead. This is an app for the LoL branch and there shouldn't be posting in it for "try this game not the one you are applying for", that was my issue with it. He can "have his say" all he wants in a section that is not a recruit's application and I would have no problem whatsoever with it. A conversation in the member section or general discussion would be awesome about LoL vs HoN imo.

Was it out of line? No
Was it inappropriate? I think so.

Don't take this writing in a hostile tone because it can definitely sound like it but it should not have been posted.

I do see F3nr1s' point here, Ima. Although all opinions should be respected, it seems out of place for someone to recommend another game to a potential recruit in their recruiting thread. Something more effective for both parties would be something like a thread in LoL's General Discussion about HoN vs. LoL, where it's out in the open.

Yes this isn't the place where [E]nd should have posted his thoughts. I cant moderate this section, but if I could I would move the off-topic posts to some LoL-General Discussion thread or somewhere else appropriate.
